Looking for nulls using the iif() function

Display the word "null" for products with null SKUs

You can use the iif() function to find nulls in a field and obtain more readable results.  The iif() function in this example will display the word "null" for every null value it finds in the SKU field.  In this particular example, we indicate null values by the word "null", but we could have used "unknown", "empty", or anything else we would have liked.

SELECT ProductID, productname, productunitprice, IIf(IsNull([SKU]),"NULL", [SKU]) AS SKUCheck

FROM tbls_ProductsN
