The "<>" inequality predicate with number data

Find orders for which the shipping cost is not equal to $35

The "<>" inequality predicate means "not equal to". This time we want to find shipping costs different from the amount of $35 per order.  Notice that we do not use quotes or other symbols to enclose numerical data as criteria.  In addition, we can use the inequality predicate efficiently with date and text data.

SELECT OrderID,  OrderDate, ShippedDate, ShippingCost

FROM Orders

WHERE ShippingCost <> 35

ORDER BY ShippingCost DESC
